I picked this book up not really having any strong feeling about it. I guess it was the backmatter that interested me. About ten minutes into the reading I was hooked. This was a well written book with just the right amount of creepyness to keep you turning the pages.
The dialogue was good and the spiritual message was sound. Since there is a lot of renewed interest in labyrinths as a spiritual path to God, Kristen Heitzmann draws the reader into a deeper understanding of the perils of trusting in "man-made" paths to God. I will admit that there were many times while reading this novel that I was scared.
I would recommend this novel.
